The census 2011 web site indicates that they are looking for enumerators ($14.72) and crew leaders (supervisors) ($18.04). While none of the positions will lead to permanent work this does provide an opportunity to supplement your pension income, help you through a period of unemployment or give your household income a little boost.

We had this in the US last year. Many people made extra money this way.
Interesting with the Canadian census Kathy, that some new jobs pop up for those who need them. I was not aware how Canada did their census. In the U.S. it is every ten years.
This represents a good opportunity for students and early retirees as well.
That sounds like a great way to earn some extra money. I wonder how many real estate agents will be going door to door in the next little while.
